Active Southland is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead the delivery of our Green Prescription and Active Families initiatives. This role involves providing high-quality support across the community, encouraging physical activity and healthy eating through effective client management, administration, and promotion.
You will manage patient referrals, ensure accurate health records, and oversee the Green Prescription team. Key responsibilities include workload management, team coordination, and contributing to the recruitment, training, and professional development of staff. You will also play a vital role in engaging with external stakeholders, developing initiatives for priority groups, and contributing to the wider community well-being efforts.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in sport, recreation, nutrition, or physical education preferred
- Leadership and management experience, especially in the health sector
- Ability to build strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisational, and computer skills
- Passionate about promoting physical activity and community health
